"YAPPA" is an informal Japanese word that is a shortened form of the commonly used Japanese word yappari, which has a variety of somewhat related meanings that include "That's just what I thought," "As I expected," "That's to be expected," "I knew it," "After all," or "In the end." For example, one might say yappari (or yappa) when something that one expected to happen actually does happen. Or, when one finally chooses one item from a variety of possibilities, one might say, "Yappari (or Yappa) (After all), I'll take this one" Yappa is a rather informal expression that these days is commonly used by young people in Japan.
